Nicole P. Gellert RPA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant with specialty training in orthopedic surgery. She has been with Winthrop University hospital since 2012. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Towson University. She then went on to work as a medical assistant in orthopedics. In 2012 Nicole graduated from Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus with a Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Ms. Gellert has an interest in hand surgery and works closely with Dr. Teplitz in the diagnosis and treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions. She is proficient in administering injections for conditions such as arthritis and tendonitis. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the New York State Society of Physician Assistants.
Ms. Gellert provides assistance in splinting and casting courses for residents, students and other medical professionals. She also provides medical coverage for both local high-schools and semi-professional athletic teams, such as the Long Island Rough Riders.
