Foot & Ankle Reconstruction

Foot & Ankle

Foot and Ankle Reconstruction: involves the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and management of patients with disorders of the lower extremity due to acute and chronic causes, including deformity, trauma, degenerative joint disease or inflammatory conditions. Being at the base of the weight-bearing limb, the foot and ankle form the foundation for the proper functioning of the lower extremity. Even subtle deformities can sometimes contribute to instability and dysfunction. Though treatment may sometimes be simple, the effect can often be quite striking. Winthrop Orthopaedic Associates provides individualized treatment, ranging from conservative non-surgical care to potentially complex surgical reconstruction.
